Taste Festival Ireland
Published 6th Jun 2008 by Amanda
Taste of Dublin is a four-day celebration of fine food and drink. Set in the beautiful surroundings of Dublin?s Iveagh Gardens, twenty two of the capital?s most prestigious restaurants and celebrated chefs will be serving sample-sized signature dishes to our sophisticated foodies this summer.
Bringing unparalleled culinary experience to over 35,000 visitors, the very best in speciality food and drink companies will also showcase alongside these outstanding restaurants, naturally bringing their Michelin stars with them.
Taste of Dublin takes place on the 12th to 15th June in the splendid setting of the Iveagh Gardens.
?Taste of Dublin was quite simply fantastic. A terrific production, impeccable organisation and great taste on the day. May I say, the most significant food event in Dublin in my memory?

Taste Festivals: How The Event Works
A Taste Festival gives visitors the opportunity to sample Dublin?s most prestigious Restaurants? signature dishes in the stunning, informal setting of the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin city centre.
Restaurants will be setting up full professional kitchens in state of the art marquees so it is a most ambitious and impressive set-up.
Session tickets (12.00pm-4.00pm OR 5:30pm- 9:30pm) allow you to browse around the Event and enjoy the various features such as the Chef Demonstration Theater, The World of Wine, The Cocktail Academy, The Chocolate Experience and the many specialty bars, which all make this a highly inspiring, interactive and educational day out.
Over 110 premium food and beverage exhibitors will display their goodies giving free samples of their delicious produce. You can happily sample and shop all afternoon, as exhibitors can sell for off-site consumption.
Top all of this off with a non-stop programme of roving live entertainment and feature stages for a most enjoyable afternoon or evening.
Price: Visitors pay an entrance fee (see Prices & Times) and then pay for dishes they wish to sample from the participating restaurants which cost between ?5 and ?8 in Florin, the Event currency.
